As we step into the second quarter of 2024, Sensor Tower provides us with insightful data on the carpooling and ridesharing app landscape for Android users in the United States. Let's delve into the performance of the top contenders in this competitive space.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver has seen a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting at 371K in the first week, dipping to 193K, and then slightly recovering to 246K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also showed a similar pattern, with a peak of 3.4M and a low of 3M before settling at 3.2M.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash, another significant player, witnessed a gradual decrease in downloads from 189K to 145K over the quarter. The app's weekly active users mirrored this trend, decreasing from 1.4M to 1.3M.

The Uber - Request a ride app experienced a decrease in weekly downloads, starting at 117K and reaching 127K towards the end of Q2. Its active users saw a downward slope as well, from 11.7M to 10.5M, indicating a slight decrease in engagement.
